Committee Tasks COMMITTEES/ ACTION GROUPS Committees will be made up of interested members of DPFH. Each will have at least one Board member as a facilitator and liaison with the Board. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE Areas of responsibility: include identification and recruitment of general members and potential Board members, maintenance of membership data base, and other related activities. Board members facilitating this committee are Lynette Cruz and Bill Wenner. LEGISLATIVE RELATIONS COMMITTEE Areas of responsibilities include maintaining and disseminating status of pending legislation, identifying key members of legislature and their positions on drug issues, and other related activities. Board member facilitating this committee is Pam Lichty. MEDIA COMMITTEE Areas of responsibilities include maintaining contacts with electronic and press media such as newspapers and other local publications, radio and television stations. Committee members should make themselves known as resources for information on drug issues. Proposed surveys and polls will be the responsibility of this committee. Board member facilitating this committee is Dick Miller. PUBLIC EDUCATION COMMITTEE Areas of responsibilities include Public Forums, Web Site, and Publications such as Newsletters, Fact Sheets, DFPH Brochure, public displays of drug education materials, and related activities. Board members facilitating this committee are Don Topping, Pam Lichty and John Cutting. FUND RAISING COMMITTEE Area of responsibility includes preparing grant proposals and developing program for soliciting funds at events. Board members facilitating this committee are Lynette Cruz and Paul Groesbeck. NOTE: Areas of overlap between committee responsibilities exist and committees are encouraged to coordinate activities appropriately.
